In Fall of 2024, I competed in a student design competition sponsored by Steelcase to redo an existing office to a more modern and sustainable approach. My concept is from Chicago’s enduring motto, Urbs in Horto (“City in a Garden”), this NEXT space on West Fulton reimagines the workplace as a modern oasis that harmonizes nature with urban innovation. Located near the Loop and echoing the values represented in the city’s seal, the design infuses a garden-like atmosphere into the heart of the city’s vibrant industrial and creative district.
